GOLD RECOVERY PROCESSING PLANTS

What is the main difference between Baioni and the many other manufacturers of equipment for quarry and mining applications? Basically two aspects: product quality and a good customer service. These are the reasons that have led an African company holder of gold exploration license to choose Baioni equipment for the erection of an aggregate washing plant in the south-east of Senegal; the extraction plant was assembled and started in April with the supervision of a Baioni engineer together with the customer's technical team, daily engaged also in gold mining operations from neighboring fluvial deposits.
The layout of the plant was carefully designed by Baioni together with customer's engineers, taking into account the variable conditions of the material being processed, the availability of water and the degree of turbidity of the same. For this reason, a two-deck vibrating screen was introduced with the aim of selecting and washing the golden sedimentary material, then conveying it into a rotating drum through conveyor belts.
The fine washed and screened material is sent then to a series of belts / filters and ends its cycle in a series of centrifugal separators, which will separate the heavy materials from the lighter ones, allowing for a high percentage of recovery of gold. The simplicity of use and the reduced maintenance required are the main advantages that have led to choose the washing drum as ideal machine to be used in washing operations of coarse alluvial aggregates.
Baioni has designed the plant carrying out various tests to check the size distribution in feeding. The processing cycle of the plant has been designed to guarantee maximum production flexibility. The system is sized for an average production of 100-150 t/hour. The material that arrives is unloaded into a large steel hopper, from there it is conveyed to the screening stage with an automatic washing system composed of the vibrating screen W400/2 with polyurethane mesh and a rotating drum washer ST150 to separate gold or its minerals from rock and other impurities such as silts, clays and other viscous material.
"We are proud to contribute to the restarting of Senegal's mining activities", commented Ulderico Baioni, president of Baioni Crushing Plants Spa, "and of the small local communities of Senegal. The country is preparing to become (also thanks to our small made in Italy products contribution) a larger, more modern, more industrialized reality. Baioni is honored to be present in the pool of companies that are contributing to the economic development and the construction of new infrastructures, in the context of what has been called the 'new recovery plan' of Senegal".
