TECHNOLOGY AND EXPERTISE: THE PERFECT MATCH

At the beginning of the year, Baioni won a tender held by the state-owned company E.P.E-S.T.A.R.R. S.P.A for the supply of eight mobile units; the tender involved other important manufacturers of quarries and mining equipment, but the solution proposed by the company, if compared to the competitors in terms of quality, reliability and delivery speed have been determined in the final choice. The Baioni brand has become synonym of reliability and continuity in Algeria and, thanks to this important contract, the company is reinforcing its presence in the Maghreb area, recently strenghten through the opening of a representative office in Algeri, through the constant participation in trade fairs and, in particular, through the supply of the latest crushing and screening plants both stationary and mobile. “Now, more than ever, Baioni can assure the assistance for all the working machines, in the selling of spare parts and in presale and after sales services” says Eng. Massimiliano Lucchetti, sales manager Baioni for North african countries, “this new order let us to litterally 'land' with the mobile solution in Algeria, a target market which is giving us great satisfaction in terms of turnover and brand promotion” continues. “The client who will use the three plants is an important state-owned construction company situated in the West of Algeria, that chooses their partners according to very high quality standards and this honours us! The market of mobile units will meet a great expansion in the future, if we consider the current difficulties in obtaining new concessions for the exploitation of quarries through fixed plants, and the fact that we have designed, built and delivered in a short time eight mobile units, some of them customized, makes us hope that we will continue to be a privileged partner of this growing country”, ends Lucchetti.

The project
The eight tracked mobile installations are part of an order that concerns three production sites, two of which are equal, while the third is more complex as it involves the second stage of crushing. The first two plants are designed and built to achieve the maximum productivity in limestone processing, for a total production of 250 t/h, and include the primary mobile crusher BaicombiTrack MP built aroung the impact crusher MP100, equipped with a vibrating grizzly feeder AVC 90 and a two deck screen W500. The screen allows three selections 0-25, 25-40 and +40mm, which is sent to recycling. The 25-40 mm is stockpiled as final product, while the 0-25 mm already a 'tout venant', is selected as 0-3, 3-8, 8-15, 15-25mm by the mobile screen BaiScreen placed forward. BaicombiTrack MP feed hopper is particularly interesting, as it is equipped with a vibrating grizzly feeder that make the feed material clean enough for the crusher. The BaicombiTrack MP has a very robust design, with a total wheigh of about 78 t and, however it is easy to be displaced for the maximum versatility on site.

Baioni Company has developed a modular system consisting of three types of tracked mobile units to be used for primary and secondary crushing, screening and stockpiling of aggregate materials whether coming from quarries, mines or recycling sites. The tracked mobile units can efficiently operate and handle hard and abrasive rock as well as mineral-based demolition material. These units have been designed to meet the new challenges of the sector; they constitute a complete crushing and screening system for a uniform production even in heavy conditions and can also be used as standard units.
The seriousness of Baioni which is leader in its sector is the best guaranty of design innovation and technological research applied to machinery; in fact on the track-mounted mobile units the machines are completely and fully driven by electric motors. This choice has made it possible for the company to have fewer moving parts, which means easier maintenance and reduced wear while keeping the same output levels as those of a traditional unit, reduce energy consumption by 20-30% while keeping the same output levels as those of traditional machines, eliminate the tedious oil leaks, be able to work from a distance thanks to a standard remote control, manage the functions on board the unit through a PLC with integrated lock and safety system, improve work flexibility and offer custom-made units thanks to a wide range of optional equipments, ensure efficient after-sale and spare part service worldwide, improve feeding facility by means of an excavator and/or wheel loader. Easy to transport and quick to start-up, they are reliable machines and comply with the safety and environmental standards.

The third plant currently being tested involves four tracked mobile units and is more complete because it combines primary and secondary crushing and screening. “The mobile units Baioni have been designed in order to face the new challenges in the sector; they form a complete crushing and screening circuit for a uniform production, even in the most challenging situations. Anyway they can also be used as single units” declares Eng. Ivan Zanzani, technical director. “All the units have been designed using 3D Cad programs to ensure accurate dimensioning of the structures without any superfluous weight in order to make the units easily manoeuvrable and safe even on difficult terrains. In this specific case, the client has decided to use the four groups in a modular and continuous manner, for a total production of about 250 t/h: the first primary mobile group to be employed is the BaiTrack BP equipped with a primary jaw crusher type BP 110/70B, which has a feeding capacity up to 280 t/h; then the mobile unit BaiTrack FCS with cone crusher that, thanks to its robust design and its particular constructive conception allows to reduce wears and to achieve operational cost benefits; furthermore, it's perfect for applications with hard and abrasive rock, present on the site where it will be used. In conclusion, the important work that Baioni is implementing in Algeria is the result of a design and a very complex order that the company has been able to complete with great satisfaction, respecting time and budget.
