The AP series apron feeders are designed for varying applications, from light to severe-duty, that require moving high tonnages of coarse material to a crushing stage: this would include different sizes and consistencies-everything from dry and abrasive to wet, sticky and difficult-to-handle material. They consist of a supporting frame, and a 'tractor' type chain equipped with a series of overlapping heavy duty pans (or flights) that carry the material. The pans are connected on each side to roller chains and traveling wheels. The track belt action ensures that even the bigger rocks are correctly aligned with the mouth of the crusher. Transmission elements, rollers, pins and plates are widely oversized to be able to withstand the stresses and the impacts of heavy rocks discharged into the hopper. Transmission, by means of a motor and speed variator, allows to achieve the desired amount of feed material without having to stop the machine. Equipped with lateral and rear sides, discharge chute and protective casing.
