Baioni SP log washers are designed to remove polluting materials, tough contaminants and other deleterious materials from gravel, stone, rock and various ore feeds. Ideal machines for scrubbing difficult materials such as tough insoluble clays, ball clays, conglomerates, soft stones and cemented aggregates containing clay. They are able to remove the clay fraction hardly soluble and removable by other methods. The removal process is carried out by mixing the inert material with intersecting paddle blades in opposite rotation, mounted on two synchronized shafts inside the tank. These paddle blades subject the material to intensive friction and abrasion, they are able to disintegrate and dissolve all the impurities in the washing water.
A water shower system feds the washing water into the tank creating a flow having an opposite direction to the motion of the material: the water discharges with some contaminants through specific weir plates in the discharge end of the machine.
